Preparing Your Interior Wall for a Mural

Please ensure that the walls are cleaned, repaired, and primed before artist Ebony London arrives. This includes applying a fresh base color coat of paint.

Keep in mind that some designs may alter the texture of the walls, and a combination of metallic and matte paints will be used.

STEP 1 - CLEANING

Proper cleaning of the wall is the MOST important step. Remove any flaking existing paint or loose debris.

STEP 2 - REPAIRS

Fixing any existing structural issues noticed after the cleaning.

STEP 3 - PRIMING

Once the surface is cleaned and repaired, we recommend using a high quality primer. Unless noted otherwise, please use a WHITE color base for all primers.

If the surface was previously painted with oil-based paint, it needs to be sanded or primed before the application of Artist Ebony London’s acrylic/latex-based paint.
